Stephen Hawking’s story is a paradox: he does not believe in miracles, but at age 72 doctors said he was one, exceeding the life expectancy of a person with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
The question about creation has tormented man since time immemorial, and traditionally people have attributed it to a divine action.
Today, science has refined the Big Bang theory and the big explosion that gave rise to the universe is more than confirmed.
Thanks to the latest advances it is possible to understand exactly what happened microseconds later, that is, how galaxies and planets formed.
But there is still no definitive answer about what happened before, what triggered that outbreak and everything exists.
For centuries scientists and philosophers have tried to unravel these complex questions.
British cosmologist Stephen Hawking is one of the most dedicated minds on the subject.
As a guest of honor of the Starmus astrophysics festival on the island of Tenerife, his words caused controversy by reaffirming without contemplation that God does not exist.
Furthermore, in “The Grand Design”, which was co-written with American physicist Leonard Mlodinow, Hawking says according to a new series of theories, it is superfluous to think of a creator of the universe.
“The universe began with the Big Bang, which simply followed the inevitable law of physics,” Hawking writes. “Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist.

A group of parents is said to have been left “absolutely fummin (sic)” after a child turned up to a local Halloween party dressed as a mosque.
The child, understood to be a seven year-old boy, attended the party at St. Philip Neri’s Primary School in Rochdale yesterday afternoon but left a short time later following complaints. It is believed that teachers were forced to intervene when several parents tried to smash the dome of the building with toffee apples, leaving the child glazed and confused.
Parent Mandy Gadd, 28, told the Herald that she had felt compelled to act in order to defend her “British values”.
“I’m not a racialist but I don’t see why he couldn’t have come dressed as a British building, like a pub or a McDonald’s,” she said.
“Halloween is when Christians come together to remember the time Jesus dressed up as a ghost to scare away the Devil, and I’m not going to let some bleeding-heart liberal in a cardboard box ruin that for me and my kids.”
Other parents were quick to criticise the school, claiming that their fancy dress rules discriminated against “true patriots” whilst bowing to the whims of “leftards”.
“That’s two years in a row I’ve dressed my kids up as Paul and Jayda from Britain First, and two years in a row they’ve been sent home,” said Sharon Fudd, 26.
“I’ve been feeding Connor nothing but chips since July so he would look more like Paul, and Paige spent ages making a pair of papier mache tits for her Jayda costume. It’s an absolute sin.
“It’s like that time my Darren was arrested for giving fags and cans of Carling to the kids trick or treating around our estate. They claim it was because he had broken the law but we all know it was because they were worried about him offending the Muzzies.”
The child’s mother, Susan Arndale, 36, denied that she had been looking to cause offence and claimed the furore was the result of a misunderstanding.
“Benjamin loves interesting buildings and was particularly taken by the Royal Pavilion when we visited Brighton this summer,” she explained.
“He and his grandad spent all day Sunday building that costume, so he was very confused and upset when everyone at the party started shouting at him. He kept on telling them that he was the Pavilion but they were too worked up to process words of more than one syllable.

The Herald has since learned that Britain First has launched a national boycott of fancy dress shops, following reports that ‘sexy imam’ outfits have for the first time outsold ‘sexy priest’ outfits.
People are exposed to many substances at any given time, including those they encounter at work, school, or home; in the food, they eat, and in the air, they breathe. It’s very unlikely they know exactly what they’ve been exposed to or that they would be able to remember all of their exposures if asked by a researcher.
And there are usually many years (often decades) between exposure to a carcinogen and the development of cancer. Therefore, it can be very hard to definitely link any particular exposure to cancer.
A recent study of four major discount retailers in the United States by the Ecology Centre found that 133 out of 164 products tested, including children’s jewelry, floor mats, kitchen utensils and silly straws, contained at least one hazardous chemical ‘above levels of concern’.
From bargain bath mats and kitchen utensils to fun knick-knacks like silly straws and children’s stick-on jewelry, hundreds of products sold at discount retailers have been found to contain toxic levels of harmful metals, plastics, and chemicals that have been linked to cancers and diseases.
Just because stuff is being sold in stores doesn’t necessarily means that it’s safe for use to consume or use.
However, we can control what we put in our homes!

As part of an entire series of actions to reduce animal cruelty, slaughterhouses based in England will be forced to install CCTV on the premises. CCTV stands for closed circuit TV, which is essentially a security system that’s closely monitored but not by the public.
In the past, there’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the filming of animal agriculture practices. Clips of undercover footage have made it into the mainstream through animal activists and documentaries such as Earthlings, and it hasn’t boded well for factory farming corporations.
These undercover films led to the creation of “ag-gag” bills, a term coined in 2011 that refers to state legislation forbidding the act of undercover filming or photographing activities on farms. For example, one of these bills was the ALEC-backed “Animal and Ecological Terrorism in America“ bill, which claimed that taking pictures on livestock farms can “defame the facility or its owner.” This is more than a little ironic given the fact that they torture and kill animals every day; how great can their reputations really be?
Additionally, ALEC proposed that violators be placed on a “terrorist registry.” This seems like a ridiculous way to spend taxpayer dollars, enforcing a rule that would prevent people from actually doing the “right thing.” Then again, it’s not exactly surprising that the people who profit from factory farms would try to prevent people from exposing the cruelty that takes place there.
Well, it seems that England is taking a stand against animal cruelty, or at least increasing transparency within factory farms, as it’s set to implement mandatory cameras in all slaughterhouses. Not only will there be documented proof of any animal cruelty that occurs, but veterinarians will be given unrestricted access to all footage as well.
Why England Is Forcing All Slaughterhouses to Install Cameras
As part of an entire series of actions to reduce animal cruelty, slaughterhouses based in England will be forced to install CCTV on the premises. CCTV stands for closed circuit TV, which is essentially a security system that’s closely monitored but not by the public.
Installation of cameras will be mandatory and they must be active anywhere that live animals are presented, whether that be where they’re unloaded, killed, or anywhere else. All footage will be available in its entirety to vets.
The government is also modifying animal welfare standards for farm animals and domestic pets in order to mitigate animal cruelty.
The Guardian reported that these changes to welfare codes will “reflect enhancements in medicines, technological advances and the latest research and advice from vets. The codes will remain enshrined in law and the first to be updated will cover chickens bred for meat.”
“We have some of the highest animal welfare standards in the world and the actions I am setting out today will reinforce our status as a global leader,” explained Environment Secretary Michael Gove. “As we prepare to leave the EU, these measures provide a further demonstration to consumers around the world that our food is produced to the very highest standards.”
So far, the public has responded well, as cameras in slaughterhouses have been proposed by animal welfare as well as environmental groups countless times in the past. There’s a clear need for these cameras, particularly in the UK, since animal welfare group Animal Aid pursued undercover filming between 2009 and 2016 at 11 UK slaughterhouses and found evidence of cruelty and law-breaking in 10 of them.
Director of Animal Aid Isobel Hutchinson stated:
After many years of campaigning for mandatory, independently monitored CCTV in slaughterhouses, we are greatly encouraged by this news. But although this development is a huge step forward, we urge the public to remember that even when the law is followed to the letter, slaughter is a brutal and pitiless business that can never be cruelty-free.
“Last year, we concluded that it was time to make CCTV compulsory in slaughterhouses, progress on voluntary adoption having plateaued,” noted Heather Hancock, Chairman of the Food Standards Agency (FSA). “I and the Board of the FSA warmly welcome Defra’s consultation about making CCTV mandatory. We look forward to the introduction of a comprehensive requirement for using, accessing and retaining footage from CCTV in abattoirs.”
Final Thoughts
In my opinion, this is a wonderful step forward toward ending animal cruelty, and I hope that other countries adopt this practice, too. However, it’s important to note that even if the entire world makes these changes, we still have a long way to go until we officially put an end to animal cruelty.
The very word “slaughterhouse” implies animal cruelty, given that it’s an organization that profits off slaughtering animals. Until we stop killing and eating animals, animal cruelty will continue to exist, regardless of how we’re killing them. Though it’s important to stop torturing animals, we still need to ask ourselves, to what end are we killing these animals? You can be healthy and reduce your environmental footprint by eating less or no animal products, and we no longer need to eat these products to thrive.
Over the past few years, multiple governments and government agencies have officially released their Evidence of UFOs.
What does this show us? Apart from revealing there are objects in our atmosphere travelling at speeds and performing maneuvers that no known conventional aircraft can perform, it shows us that such agencies have been interested in and have been tracking these craft for years, devoting vast resources to their study. If these released files make anything clear, it’s that there has been a long history of military and civilian encounters with UFOs and strange objects.
Testimony from military and political insiders, as well as academics, complements these files, and their stories are the major reason why so many believe these unknown objects are extraterrestrial in origin.
Regardless of where you believe they came from, the extraterrestrial hypothesis is entirely plausible, and the official public disclosure of such information has tremendous implications, as you can imagine.

Yet people remain skeptical, relying on the government and mainstream media to make an official disclosure. This is concerning, particularly given the lack of trust most people have in their governments to begin with. 9/11 is perhaps the best example of this mistrust. Recent polls show that more than half of the American population doesn’t believe the official story put out by their government.
Well, it’s almost 2018, and every year the UFO/extraterrestrial topic seems to become more popular, and credible, within the mainstream world. The recent launch of To The Stars Academy of Arts & SciencE (TTS/AAS), headed by former Blink 182 band member Tom DeLonge, is one reason for this shift in perception.
DeLonge has gathered an impressive list of people to help him with his mission, which aims to push disclosure of discoveries that have been locked up in deep black budget programs. It’s an initiative mobilizing “the brightest minds from within the top-secret shadows of aerospace, science and the Department of Defense.”
The academy is composed of science, aerospace, and entertainment divisions “intended to provide support to exceptionally gifted researchers with expectations to exponentially yield new concepts and technologies of significance on an accelerated timeline.”
A few days ago, Tom, along with other representatives of the initiative — including Jim Semivan, a longtime senior intelligence service member for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) — launched their project live on Facebook.
Other representatives include Dr. Hal Puthoff, who was a big player in the U.S. government’s “Stargate Program,” and Steve Justice, who was the Program Director for Advanced Systems from Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs — better known as “Skunk Works” — for 31 years.
Another representative, Chris Mellon, commented: “To the Stars represents an opportunity to reach beyond the normal boundaries of Aerospace to create products that we can call them revolutionary and that’s too mild of a word.”
In essence, the program aims to bring forth these classified technologies and concepts and use them to better our world. They will also be exploring telepathy and other ‘psi’ phenomena that have been studied for decades by multiple scientists and governments.
Mellon’s comments above corroborate with comments made by Ben Rich, Lockeed Skunkwork’s second director, who worked there from 1975 to 1991. He said, “We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects, and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.”
Their Collaboration With the U.S. Government
During the Facebook Live feed, Luis Elizondo, the Director of Global & Special Programs for To The Stars, announced that the academy will be releasing official, previously classified data and documentation in collaboration with the U.S. government.
A career intelligence officer who has worked with the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, the National Counterintelligence Executive, and the Director of National Intelligence, Elizondo resigned from the Pentagon just one week before the launch of the academy. For nearly the last decade of his career, he ran a sensitive aerospace threat identification program focusing on unidentified aerial technologies.
When asked if these UFOs are a threat, he told journalist and New York Times best selling author Leslie Keen “they did not exhibit overt hostility.” “But something unexplained is always assumed to be a potential threat until we are certain it isn’t. On the bright side, I believe we are closer than ever before in our understanding of how it operates,” he continued.
His comment takes on new meaning when examined against one made by former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer, who said that “Decades ago, visitors from other planets warned us about where we were headed and offered to help.
But instead, we, or at least some of us, interpreted their visits as a threat, and decides to shoot first and ask questions after.”
During the live feed, the To The Stars representatives also mentioned that they are close to figuring out how some of these technologies work.
Also during the feed, Luis Elizondo revealed: “We are also planning to provide never before released footage from real U.S. government systems, not blurry amateur photos but real data and real videos. And we’re inviting our government colleagues and friends and defense to participate regularly with their own findings.”
This has been happening for a while. Here’s a clip from the Truman presidency of the UFOs that flew over the White House. It caused a national stir and forced him to make a statement on live TV.

Still No Mention of ET
The extraterrestrial hypothesis has been around for a long time, yet this initiative spearheaded by Delonge does not mention ‘ET’ or ‘alien,’ which is surprising considering it’s common knowledge that he believes in extraterrestrials.
One can only speculate that they are choosing to take it slow, easing people into this idea by discussing advanced aircraft first. The ‘ET’ question, or the origin of their manufacture, can come later.
After all, we’ve been lied to and misinformed on this topic for years, through an “official campaign of secrecy and ridicule,” as Roscoe H. Hillenoetter (the very first CIA director) once told us.
UFOs are one thing, but an intelligent extraterrestrial behind its operation and manufacture is another entirely. So, I guess we’ll wait and see what happens.

28-year-old Kymberley Suchomel managed to escape the massacre, at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, uninjured but made a public statement describing the attacks and how they were carried out by multiple gunmen that were firing weapons into the crowd.
According to Kymberley Suchomel’s posts, there were multiple shooters involved in the horrific mass shooting that left 58 people dead and 546 injured.
In fact, Suchomel, who was the co-founder of the High Desert Phoenix Foundation (a charity that financially assists victims of tragedies), claimed that she and those in her party were “chased” by more than one active shooter.
“Bullets were coming from every direction. Behind us, in front of us, to the side of us. But I know, I just know, that there was someone chasing us. The entire time I felt this way.
The farther we got from the venue, the closer the gunfire got. I kept looking back expecting to see the gunmen- and I say MEN because there was more than one person. There was more than one gun firing. 100% more than one. As we were running, we kept changing direction, because it felt like no matter what direction we took, we were being followed.”
Kymberley Suchomel was found dead early Monday in her home by her grandmother and High Desert Phoenix Foundation co-founder, Julie Norton. According to Norton, she found her granddaughter deceased in her bed at around 8:30 a.m. on October 9. Norton had reportedly come to the home to babysit Suchomel’s 3-year-old daughter.

With 58 people killed by the gunman and nearly 500 wounded, the Las Vegas event is the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Dubai International Airport announced that next year it will drop the ever-so-passé human security checks for biometric scanning – in the form of an aquarium.
Fish will verify travellers’ identity
Visitors will walk through admiring virtual fish while 80 in-built cameras scan each person’s face and verify their identity.
“The fish is a sort of entertainment and something new for the traveller but, at the end of the day, it attracts the vision of the travellers to different corners in the tunnel for the cameras to capture his/her face print,” foreign affairs chief Major Gen Obaid Al Hameeri told The National.
The virtual fish, therefore, play a vital role in capturing passengers’ attention so the cameras can scan them accurately.
The airport’s new feature is due to be up and running in terminal 3 by the end of 2018 and will launch in the other terminals by 2020. It’s not just fish either – the aquarium can be swapped for other virtual scenes.
Travellers have to pre-register before using the biometric tunnel by visiting one of the airport’s 3D face scanning kiosks; then, when they’ve walked through the virtual aquarium, their biometrics will be compared to their digital profile and, if it’s a match, they’ll be waved through with the message “have a nice trip”. If there’s an issue, visitors will be stopped so security officers can perform more checks.

In February, Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport – which has set itself the target of becoming the world’s “leading digital airport” by 2018 – also announced a facial-recognition trial in collaboration with KLM, where passengers can board without having to show a boarding pass and passport.
To enrol in the process, passengers scan their passports, boarding passes and have a photo of their face taken by a special registration kiosk (personal data is automatically deleted after boarding).
Beyond that procedure, passengers needn’t exhibit any further documentation – their face is enough to grant them access through to the gate and they can proceed to the plane.
