Why Is Marijuana Banned? The Real Reasons are Worse than You Think

Across the world, support for marijuana legalization continues to grow in places where it’s currently illegal. But then the question becomes – why was it ever banned in the first place?

The answer may surprise you – because it’s not what you think.

In fact, we think you’ll find the answer downright shocking.

Back in 1929, Harry Anslinger was made director of a government department known as the Department of Prohibition. But, as it turned out, Prohibition was a disaster – and when it was repealed, Anslinger needed a way to keep his department alive.

So, without a way to scapegoat alcohol any longer, he turned his eyes elsewhere – on cannabis.

Cannabis, he said, would make a dangerous, insane criminal. Marijuana, he said, made people turn into evil beasts. And then, he said, there was the case of the boy Victor Lacata, who’d recently hacked his family to death in Florida – with an ax. That, Anslinger said, is what happens when you smoke weed.

Documentation now shows that Anslinger wrote to thirty leading doctors, hoping they’d sign off on his crazy statements. Twenty-nine said no. One said, sure. Anslinger used that doctor to give legitimacy to his ravings.

The United States banned marijuana – then strong-armed other countries, such as Mexico, into doing the same.

Confused doctors, who knew that cannabis wasn’t the evil Anslinger was making it out to be, asked where the scientific research was to support such wild claims.

Anslinger refused to hear it, writing only “The marijuana evil can no longer be temporized with,” and as such, he would fund no independent science, not ever.

But here’s the catch. Years later, somebody went and looked at the psychiatric files for Victor Lacata – and there’s no evidence he ever used cannabis. Instead, there was a long history of mental illness in his family, and someone had actually suggested Lacata be institutionalized a year prior. There was no mention of cannabis in any of his files.

There’s no data anywhere to support the idea that cannabis causes pyschosis.

In fact, the scientific evidence suggests cannabis is safer than alcohol. Alcohol kills 40,000 people every year in the US. Cannabis kills nobody—although Willie Nelson says a friend of his did once die when a bale of cannabis fell on his head.

Isn’t it time we listened to the science—and finally put away Victor Lacata’s axe?

Almost 50 Years Later, We Are Starting To ‘Imagine’ What John Lennon Tried To Tell Us

When John Lennon released the song Imagine in 1971, the public was not fully ready to embrace it. Sure, the members of the Hippie Movement and its emphasis on peace and love were still aflame, but this song offered a lofty vision that was beyond the reach even of staunch supporters. The simple, graceful melody belied its far-reaching profundity.

Today, that vision, and the future world that he imagined, is just starting to become accessible to us in its fullness.

Lennon had said that he got the initial idea from Yoko Ono’s book Grapefruit, which encourages us to “Imagine the sky crying,” or “Imagine you’re a cloud.” Still, Imagine evinces his signature militant challenge to widely-accepted conventions of our collective perception.

His Words

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Lennon starts with perhaps the most controversial statement in the whole song: that the very concept of heaven, so intrinsic to the Christian teachings adhered to by many of his followers at the time, was a fabrication that was actually preventing us from living in the moment—the true experience of Christ Consciousness and the creation of ‘Heaven-on-Earth.’ Lennon asks us to reject a life motivated by the fear of future retribution, and the false promise of future salvation.

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

In one swipe, Lennon attempts to wipe away all the artificial structures that give rise to opposition: country vs. country, religion vs. religion, race vs. race, etc. To suggest that countries in our world could suddenly cease to exist is a stretch for most—but just imagining it helps us all to give up the need to identify with those labels that polarize us and prevent us from seeing ourselves as one.

 

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

Here Lennon challenges the Capitalistic notion of private property, but more deeply the perception advocated by the Western world that life is founded on the survival of the fittest, that we actually need to live in competition with one another in order to thrive. He invokes one of the hallmarks of the hippie movement—a willingness to share the Earth’s available resources with all of humanity.

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Finally, Lennon concedes that his listeners might think him unrealistic, a dreamer. But he is undeterred. He seems to have realized, to a large degree at least, that what is thought, intended—imagined—has the potential to manifest into reality. And indeed, the more people that join together and focus on the same vision, the more immediately that vision manifests in the world.

Imagining a New World

The awakened community has become well-versed in our ability to manifest through intention, both in our personal lives and as a collective. Films like What the Bleep Do We Know? has shown us that Quantum physics is on board to support this principle of natural law, and more and more of us are gaining confidence in manifesting by focusing our imaginations on what we want.

We are at a watershed moment in the evolution of our consciousness, where we are coming to know not only that the world John Lennon described is possible, but that we have the collective power to imagine it into existence.

Experienced Butcher Admits: “When We See Cancer In The Pork, We Just Cut It And Still Sell It To Customers”

Most people end up believing exactly what they want to believe, and that includes the truth about the food that they are shoving into their faces.

Meat eaters might want to reconsider their diet choices.

A butcher has shocked the world by saying that when coming across cancer in pork, he and many other butchers just cut it out, and continue to sell to customers.

When you buy meat from a butchers, you expect that you are usually buying the best quality, better than supermarket standard, but this has been shown not to be the case.

Meat cuts are very expensive, and this butcher has been honest about the process that the meat goes through before selling. I guess it would be mad for a butcher to throw a whole cut away just because there was a problem with one part of it.

There is no legal obligation for butchers to give information about cancers in the meant to the customers.

This revelation will come as a further shock to meat eaters who have seen their diets fall out of favor in recent years with the rise of veganism and vegetarianism. People who abstain from meat usually say that to them they think it just ‘makes sense’, and after hearing this news perhaps a few more people will be joining them in that school of thought.

A recent study in the U.S threw up some pretty worrying statistics about meat sold and packaged in the country. Hot dogs labelled as pork were found to contain traces of horse meat, and both meat and veggie hot dogs were found to have human DNA present.

 

The only way to guarantee the quality of your food is to harvest it yourself. This is harder with meat, but many people say that since they switched to a meat free diet they have never felt so good.

Meat is expensive and as some people claim, totally unnecessary to a meal. There are so many great meat alternatives out there that you should never really have to worry about eating cancerous pork again.

Here is a horrible video of cancer tumors found inside a piece of hump meat, which is then removed and sold freely as mince beef.

The good news: As bad as some brands were found to be, there are some trustworthy options out there. The report lists the soy chorizo and meatless corn dogs at Trader Joe’s as safe picks for vegetarians, and Taveritte’s, Whole Foods’ 365 brand, Aidell’s, Hebrew National, Ball Park, Oscar Mayer, and Johnsonville for meat eaters.

“Not until we have done all the research necessary…” This is the reality of our current time, and the reason why so many in our world are so confused. We are taking the word of leaders, late night comedy show hosts and mainstream media as truth, when in reality they provide loose facts mixed with deep agendas.

When it comes to geopolitical matters, how can we expect to be given any sort of truth when what we hear comes directly from intelligence agencies.

Roger Waters, the frontman for Pink Floyd, stopped his concert this week in Barcelona to address the crowd about the propaganda being spread about what’s happening in Syria.

He pointed out that The White Helmets are an organization that exists for the purpose of propaganda. Collective Evolution reported on the corrupt nature of the White Helmets in 2017 and we’re now seeing it here again. The White Helmets have been caught staging events to create propaganda for media.

The White Helmets were first exposed when a video surfaced showing the US backed “aid workers” disposing dead bodies of Syrian soldiers. They were celebrating their kill and holding the heads of the dead.

As it stands, the White Helmets organization is heavily funded by the U.S. and the UK, as well as many other international entities. Keep in mind, these same countries also fund ISIS.

During Waters’ concert, a man named Pascal was set to come on stage and provide information to the crowd about what was going on in Syria. Waters instead chose to address the crowd himself to save the audience from the propaganda that would have come from Pascal about the White Helmets.

On stage Waters said “The White Helmets is a fake organization that exists only to create propaganda for jihadists and terrorists, that’s my belief. We have opposing beliefs. If we were to listen to the propaganda of the White Helmets and others, we would be encouraged to encourage our governments to start dropping bombs on people in Syria. This would be a mistake of monumental proportions for us as human beings.”

“What we should do is go and persuade our governments not to go and drop bombs on people. And certainly not until we have done all the research that is necessary so that we would have a clear idea of what is really going on. Because we live in the world where propaganda seems to be more important than the reality of what is really going on,” he added.

We are not to believe these things simply because people are saying it, but rather because of all the evidence which exists to back it. This is why people with a voice are speaking out.

Here in lies the issue when it comes to what’s happening in Syria. Still with absolutely no evidence, Assad attacked his people with chemicals, we are hearing in the media that he did, and now we are seeing more violence, and lives lost.

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters has been speaking up about what’s going on in the world for quite some time, drawing attention to thinking outside the box, questioning who’s really in control and calling for peace. His words have not been received well by those who control the industry he is in.

When speaking up about these truths in the industry, “The only response to BDS is that it is anti-Semitic, I know this because I have been accused of being a Nazi and an anti-Semite for the past 10 years. My industry has been particularly recalcitrant in even raising a voice [against Israel]. There’s me and Elvis Costello, Brian Eno, Manic Street Preachers, one or two others, but there’s nobody in the United States where I live. I’ve talked to a lot of them, and they are scared s***less….”  Waters said.

“If they say something in public they will no longer have a career. They will be destroyed. I’m hoping to encourage some of them to stop being frightened and to stand up and be counted because we need them. We need them desperately in this conversation in the same way we needed musicians to join protesters over Vietnam,” Waters added.

We shall see how this all continues to unfold. But the challenge for us all is to stay grounded, stay in our hearts and not get swept up in hate and anger. It’s going to be a bit of a messy transition pulling the deep state regime out of power, but it has to be done.

The Education System is Designed to Destroy Our Potential and Turn Us Into Slaves

I’ve always wanted to learn. Everything. Well, at least what I truly enjoyed, what really drove my aspiration into high levels. My passion for learning has been inside me since my early childhood.

For the most unimaginable reason…fear.

As a child, I was constantly afraid I won’t make it into this large complicated world around me. Kids would mock me for not knowing everything or not being capable. So, knowledge gave me a certain sense of security, stability, and self-confidence.

Ten years later, I got into university. Guess what was my major. Yup, education.

I was really passionate about my studies. The academics inspired me even further about learning. And I totally got into that vibe.

Couple years after I graduated, I found out the brutal truth that slapped me in the face – my whole education was a big LIE.

Once I entered into the real world of society, I found myself not informed enough. People and situations questioned my intelligence and abilities that I seemingly acquired through my formal education.

So, I seriously asked myself: was it all worth it? All those years of hard work, did it all help me become an intelligent and capable person?

Like a shadow behind my ears, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s thoughts were whispering to me: “Education doesn’t make you smarter.”

Then I decided to look at education from a different perspective. George Carlin’s words kept ringing inside my head: “Teach children to question what they read, teach them to question everything.” Which made me realize that whenever I was in the classroom, the teachers didn’t ask for my personal opinion, how I see things. They just wanted me to repeat what was written in the books. That was the RIGHT answer for them. So how could I, or anyone else, develop the ability to think, the skills for applying knowledge into daily life, if the teacher doesn’t actually direct me in that?

Even studies confirm that. For example, a 2011 study published in the book “Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses,” by sociologists Richard Arum of New York University and Josipa Roksa of the University of Virginia, found that there was “no significant improvement in the key measures of critical thinking, complex reasoning and writing among students by the end of their sophomore years.”

I believe that education, a real education is supposed to motivate you to learn new things in every possible situation. To inform you about the right reasons, why knowledge is truly important. Living a society where information is the most valuable tool, can we even doubt the importance of learning? So why don’t teachers do that?

Well, for a very simple reason. Because they too don’t believe that. They were also educated in the very same manner they use with their students. A professor of mine was a bit surprised with my graduation thesis because I “dared” to criticize the paradigm which she believed in. My surprise was even greater when I realized that she is unconsciously trying to make me think the way she thinks. And her mentality is not the right one for me. In the end, she bid me farewell with words of her “wisdom” that in order to find a job, having the right connections is important, not the right skills and knowledge.

“Governments don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. That is against their interests. They want obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and to the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept it.” – George Carlin

I couldn’t agree any more with Carlin. If you carefully think about it, we don’t actually learn in the classroom, we are BEING TAUGHT. Teachers deliver us information that they were given, or should I say, told, to be injected into our minds. Information about reality which would shape how we percieve our lives and ourselves. They don’t encourage us to discover life and the things that matter on our own.

The truth is that education destroys our true nature. We are shaped into passive observers of reality, instead of active participants in it, masters of our fate, who are amazingly capable to live life to the fullest.

Sadly, I had to realize that the hard way. Through the example of the very people who were paid to educate me. They sure did. They taught me that schooling is not the right education, the education that I, and everyone else need and deserve.

How to manage into the world of ignorance where education doesn’t offer a proper solution?

Were Pink Floyd right when they sang: “we don’t need no education?”

To a certain point, I agree. We don’t need formal education, the one that is being served as a ready-made package to students, regardless of their individual needs, potentials, and interests.

It is actually self-education that truly produces valuable learning outcomes. If we decide to educate ourselves, to learn new important skills every day in every suitable situation, then we can always develop ourselves into intelligent, well-informed, TRULY capable and hence, more confident individuals.

There are so many people that contributed so much to mankind, who were self-taught. Albert Einstein, to name a few, who is considered one of the smartest people in history, DETESTED school because he couldn’t stand the way the teachers taught. He found it very difficult to express his own thoughts, and to pursue what he was interested in, in such a rigid educational environment. Consequently, he quit school at the age of 15.

Did it stopped him from becoming incredibly intelligent, acquire knowledge and achieve so much with his work? Absolutely not.

Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple and probably the most influential technological mind of the 20st century, never finished college. And just try to grasp the idea of how complex his work has been. He made some of the revolutionary products such as the iPod, iPad, and iPhone. And he did it by educating himself!

Does education need a change?

Oh yes, a desperate one. I have to praise innovative approaches in formal education like the one in Finland’s educational system. The country decided to remove subjects from the school curricula and allow students to acquire knowledge by exploring topics from a different perspective. The educational system of Finland is so good, that their students are always on top of every list. So, it’s not surprising that such a progressive change comes from this country.

I strongly believe that examples like this would bring a significant improvement in the way students learn and develop themselves.

So, I close this article with an advice to you my fellow learners out there. Rely on yourselves, not on what you’re being served in the classroom. May Einstein’s words: “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious,” inspire you to excel and accomplish your potential by yourselves.
